ready to rock and roll, only nerves and a lack of built up wings is stopping me......(wings are for scale, as I wont need them for hover).

OK so I've got the new ESC's back from Schultz.......Structure #7 is redesigned at 1:9th scale and the first formers are being layed up on my building board, its gunna be a monster at over 1.5m length.
Will be a while yet but its getting there, the new scale allows better roll authority and each motor is now driven by an individual pack of 16 x 1700mAh cells. That means I can dump 1Kw/motor thats about 300W/lb......scary.
This site shows my progress as I work towards flying a 1:10 scale electric ducted fan scale model of the X35-B, including hover and transition to and from conventional flight.
The X35-B is the VTOL prototype of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) due to enter service in 2008. At least 3000 aircraft will be built by
Lockheed Martin .
